Schiphol Real Estate and VolkerWessels have jointly purchased 90 hectares of land south of Badhoevedorp. The land was acquired from area development company Chipshol.
A large part of the land will be used to improve Schiphol’s accessibility. The land may also be used for the future extension of Amsterdam’s Noord/Zuid metro line if the project is greenlighted. VolkerWessels and Schiphol Real Estate will join forces to develop another part of the area to create an urban landscape with commercial real estate.
VolkerWessels is a leading, integrated and diversified construction group with a ‘think global, act local’ mind-set. VolkerWessels’ business model combines a local sales and client focus with divisional control and support, optimising economies of scale and expertise across its operating companies. VolkerWessels operates primarily in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, North America and Germany. Operationally, its business activities are organised in six segments.
