A woman onboard stood up and threatened to blow herself up leading to the emergency landing of the plane.



From Simferepol in Crimea to the Russian capital Moscow the S7 Airlines flight was en route on Thursday 30 January when the incident took place.



The unnamed passenger was escorted by the police from the aircraft after it landed at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport.



The Airlines reported that the woman had stood in the aisle and stated having an explosive device.


The police confirmed that no device was found on her.


Earlier this month an American woman allegedly claimed to have a bomb in her checked luggage after she arrived at the gate too late to catch her flight earlier this month.


An American Airlines flight from Phoenix, Arizona to Salt Lake City, Utah the passenger was attempting to cover.


When the staff refused to let her through she allegedly mentioned an explosive device which resulted in the bomb squad being called and part of one concourse being evacuated.



Although no device was found  and she was arrested on suspicion of false emergency reporting
